A total of 1,779 applications for postal voting have been received
from Malaysians abroad so far since online registration was launched on
December 21 last year.
Election Commission deputy chairman Datuk Wan Ahmad Wan Omar said
the highest number of applications came from Australia with 406,
followed by the United Kingdom (323), the United States (131), China
(104) and Qatar (91).
“The EC’s decision to allow all Malaysians
abroad to register online and through e-mail has proven to be
effective as many took the opportunity to do so.

So You Want to Be an Engineer
So you’re good at maths and science and since the general perception in school is that anyone who isn’t in the science stream is dumber than those who are, you somehow ended up in it anyway because your mom would like to avoid the embarrassment of telling other mothers that you’re in the economics class.
Then there’s the biology part where, by default, you should either be a doctor, pharmacist or something along the line, but since you’re not in the mood of cutting up people, looking at rectums, smelling blood or dealing with old people, you wonder what in the world should you do with these good results of yours. You want something which isn’t as difficult as, say, “Theoretical Physics” yet at the same time has the effect of impressing the chicks in campus by the mere mention of your major, so naturally you ended up in the school of engineering.
Indeed, while going through triple integrals and rearranging alphabets in a mathematical formula, you began to day-dream that someday you will be the next Steve Jobs, loved and revered all over the world – thanks to the gadgets and devices you designed or invented, used by millions around the world, being worshipped by throngs of cultist hipsters who are actually nerd wannabees that ended up in arts and design.
Indeed as you have guessed it by now, this article is for those of you in freshman year who still have a chance to turn back, or for that student who is currently pulling an all-nighter for that big electromagnetics exam tomorrow and somehow stumbled upon this. This is an inscription, an oracle, a prophecy of what may lie in your near future. Do continue reading but let this technological soothsayer warn you: what you read may make you a little insecure, disheartened and perhaps a bit confused. Do forge ahead young Padawan, but do it at your own peril. Now since we’re done with the cool wordy disclaimer, let’s carry on.

Malay Votes to Decide Outcome
Baradan Kuppusamy, The Star
THE campus polls, which saw the Barisan Nasional-leaning Pro-Aspirasi group victorious in most public universities, mirrors a surge in young Malay support for the coalition in the larger society.
The campus polls followed recent political developments in the country with PAS and, to a lesser extent the PKR, coming under pressure from Malay groups to explain their co-operation with the DAP.
PAS, in particular, is under constant attack for giving in to DAP's demands and not vibrantly defending Islam as it had in earlier elections.
Conversely, PAS has also been attacked by DAP national chairman Karpal Singh for continuing to propagate hudud laws, which are Islam-based criminal laws.

How Malaysian Society Crushes Their Kids Potentials
2. First of all, we were born genius, a natural explorer and a curious scientist. When we were young, we wonder what's out there. We began to wonder about the sky, the rivers, the stars, the people around us and our environment. Our old days were our greatest discovery period.
3. But then something happens, when we hit the 'Malaysian Society Synchronisation' year, the period that consist of our primary and secondary school in this country. That is when our potential was literally hammered out of us. The days when every little flower of curiosity is crushed by our 'know-it-all' society and the 'flawless' educational system itself.

How We Can Save Money & Cut Budget 2
Last time we have seen several step on cutting cost and saving some of our monthly allowances : How we can save money & cut budget 1. This week, I would like to share with you another 5 easy ways for us as a student, living in France.
6. Borrow a Book or Buy a Second-hand
Before you even think about putting out money for a new book, i.e. textbooks or novels, don’t you think someone else on campus had to already have one, or maybe a second-hand from a book store?
Borrow if it’s possible. If not, you can always buy it. On sites like Amazon.com, you can get used hardcover books are often cheapest.
7. Decline Extended Warranties
Your computer should be under manufacturer’s warranty for the first year anyway. Companies want to 'make' us into believing the plan is worthwhile. They become rich off our extra cash.

How We Can Save Money & Cut Budget 1
"It's already April and guess what... I am out of money?"
1. Stop Buying on Impulse
An impulse purchase or impulse buy is an unplanned decision to buy a product or service, made just before a purchase. Impulse shopping can be very tempting while out and about. The problem with this is that we end up blowing money on stuff we don't really need, and sometimes on stuff we don't really want i.e. new shirts and shoes. Before making a purchase, we should make a list and try to decide which one is truly necessary.

Apabila Mendapat Elaun 2

UPSI Insident : An Opinion
Give your vote on this issue here. Thank you
1. Before I start, I would like people to know more about the AUKU act that was introduced in 1971. This is what I have copied from the Wikipedia.

For more information upon this act, download the AUKU document

Solusi Apabila Mendapat Elaun 1

Footnote : Program Ijazah Luar Negara
1. My previous post on Program Ijazah Luar Negara had really created a huge
misunderstanding among Malaysians students.
2. Again I would like to say here that I am not aiming my opinions to certain
Malaysians. I felt that we, as a student were given a huge responsibility to
bring something that we all can benefit from other countries. For example, work
ethics, mentality, social responsibility and technology.

Program Ijazah Luar Negara
1. Every year, Malaysia sends her Crème de la crème to other nation's heart
of educational system, hoping that this group of Malaysians could be our
stepping stone for us to achieve Vision 2020, a developed nation before the
year 2020.
2. For your information, this policy was implemented during the era of our
first Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman. From one point of view, we all can
agree that many of Malaysia's strong men and women are the results of this
program. Thanks to this policy too, we are now able to say that we are proud
with our nation's achievement. But, from other point of view, this policy is
starting to do us harm, from our education system to our country's economic
progress. Thus bringing up the question whether this policy is still relevant
with our current state?

The MASAF Dilemma
1. MASAF, as we all know is an entity that represents the majority of
Malaysians students, regardless to their race, religion and background.
What concerns me that, this entity is now falling apart due to
complications from the management level, its members and current events.
2. As I was informed, back in the early days, there was only UMNO France. An entity purely for Malays. Then, our fore'Malaysian's thought that this was not right and an entity that unites should be established. The aftermath of this event triggered the creation of MASAF. Since then we all had seen many activities, such as Aidil Fitri, Aidil Adha, Chinese New Year, Deepavali, held by this group to unite all Malaysians under one roof.
